High Cholesterol at Zaxby's

If you are supposed to restrict your calorie count, then try any of the zalads and club it up with a sandwich to fill your stomach with delicious food. To curb the cravings for deep fried food, opt for a small portion (5) of boneless wings and chicken fingerz.

Instead of ordering fried chicken wing servings, you can always request for a grilled sandwich with lettuce, onion, and tomatoes to counter high cholesterol. A sandwich calorie count can range between 900 to 1600 calorie which can be reduced by asking for healthier options.

Foods to Avoid at Zaxby's for High Cholesterol

Salads are often great and considered healthy. However, if you have high cholesterol, then you must be careful while ordering salads or shall we say Zalads at Zaxby's. Fried Cobb salad contains high-fat content which can spike your LDL cholesterol levels. Most food items on Zaxby's menu are high in fat content if you increase the quantity. Instead of opting for 10 or 20 chicken wings from the menu, opt for 5 traditional chicken wings to control your cholesterol balance.

Came here a few mins before close and Michael, who might I add is an exceptional young man, was gracious enough to take our orders and proceeded to finish cleaning up but was still courteous enough to ask us if he was being a bother by hanging up some chairs on the other side of the wall we were eating on. I thought that was real kind, in fact Michael is always a pleasure to see on visits because I know we are going to receive exemplary service.

The chicken was so hot and buttery and wonderful. Fries have a great seasoning. And the milkshakes rock as usual. I ordered through the drive through and it was all pretty quick. Good value for what you get.

This place is growing on me. The boneless wings meal is a good lunch. 5 boneless, breaded "wings" slathered in the sauce of your choice. I like the nuclear a lot. A side of perfectly cooked seasoned crinkle cut fries, celery, your choice of ranch or blue chees dressing and a bottomless drink for $5.79.

Had some value meal with three tenders, fries, a drink. Also fried pickles and five wings. The wings were good but small and everything else very greasy and soft. The tenders were very small. These were the items Zaxby' s is supposed to be known for? Paid $15 and I don't think it was worth it. First and last time I'll go there

Bout average. Only chicken. Fries were not that good tasted a little stale. Onion ring portion small for the $1.89 charged. Hot wings were pretty good.

My first Zaxby's experience ever so I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm trying to keep things a little on the healthy side so I ordered the Cobb Salad with a side of fried pickles (so much for healthy). The salad is obviously made to order because it took much longer for me to get my order than quite a few people that ordered after me and when I finally received it I could tell my assumption was correct. It was a freshly prepared salad with all the usual "cobb" accompaniments - minus the avocado. Hard boiled egg, crispy bacon, sliced tomatoes, diced peeled cucumber and crunchy noodles in a bed of the typical bagged salad mix. I chose to top mine with the crispy chicken which was good. Overall I was pleased with the salad, it was just a small step up from the usual fast food salad. Now about the fried pickles.....first I should say I LOVE fried pickles and I probably would've loved these too - if they weren't literally swimming in grease. Most of them too soggy to even look appetizing let alone eat . Left pools of grease on my plate, yuck.

This a about their new chicken sandwich, the 'Game Day Fillet'. Of course, this is their version of Chick-Fil-A's or McDonald's. My first one was not great. A bit dry, not much flavor. However I have had at least 3 since that were very good. The chicken was tender & juicy, and the spicing was just the right amount of bite. More flavor than most chicken sandwiches. I'm thinking the first one was on the first day they offered it, so maybe the employees were still learning the new sandwich. Anyway, it's now my official favorite chicken sandwich.

Consider for a moment, the elements chlorine and sodium. Each one alone is poisonous to the human body, but together they form sodium chloride, a necessary nutrient. We can't function without it, and we're in luck because it makes things taste good. Yes, I'm talking about table salt. Amazing stuff those crystals. With Zaxby's, they've developed a fast casual restaurant concept that celebrates salt. That mascot of the chicken I believe is sculpted from a single large crystal of salt. There's salt everywhere in this place. I even think the dinner trays are made from some black salt material. You just can't have too much of the stuff. These boneless chicken strips I'm enjoying are tender and moist and void of any residual chicken flavor. The excessive salt has made sure of that! But wait, what is this? I get sauce with these? Zax Sauce! It has salt listed twice in the ingredients. That's great, as you can't under salt a meal. Hold on a sec... My friends are telling me that you *can* have too much salt... Something about raising your blood pressure and not being good for people with kidney problems. Whatever. I'm going back to my platter, and I'll figure out why I feel dizzy later.
